Biography

Dr James David Komanya is a Medical Doctor and Clinical Audiologist at Bugando Medical Centre in Mwanza, Tanzania. His work focuses on clinical audiology, hearing health, and improving access to audiological services. He is President of the Audiology Association of Tanzania and teaches audiology and related subjects at Tanzanian health-sciences institutions. His research and professional interests include adult and newborn hearing care, hearing-health education, and the integration of digital and artificial-intelligence approaches into healthcare. He is committed to strengthening patient-centred hearing services and evidence generation in Tanzania and other low- and middle-income settings.
